Some people come to Thailand seeking natural cures for
their ailments; others just want a spiritual or physical
tune-up. Samui is host to a wealth of alternative health
practitioners trained in diverse healing therapies including;
acupuncture, hypnotherapy, reflexology, reiki, myotherapy
and yoga.
Most of these practitioners are available
for 'house calls' in the comfort of your own villa.
Several of our guests have enjoyed the quiet and serenity
of our retreat whilst engaging in programmes at any
of the centers that offer fasting and cleansing.
Availability: Please note, that not
all of these alternate therapies are always available
throughout
the year - many practitioners come for a season
only, or travel in the region - please let us know
when
you book in to our villas and we can let you have
more information on availability.

Acupuncture uses hair thin needles to direct body energy
and stimulate the release of blocked 'Chi' energy, allowing
the body to heal itself. Acupuncture is used to treat
many problems, from immune disorder to asthma -- or
simply for relieving stress.

Reflexology is a natural holistic therapy, based on
the concept that every part of the body is connected
by energy pathways to reflex points in the hands, feet
and head. By applying controlled pressure to specific
points, vital energy pathways are unblocked, and the
body's own healing energy can restore physical and mental
well-being and boost the body's immune system.

Reiki is a ancient hands-on healing form that addresses the
body, mind and spirit, treating the root cause of dis-ease
or stress, and resulting in deep relaxation and a state of
rejuvenation. You can choose between whole-body treatment
of this 'universal life energy' technique, or can learn how
apply these techniques through an initiation session.

Myotherapy is a non-aggressive manipulation of muscles that
have been traumatized, restoring balance and function to misaligned
body structures.

Yoga is an ancient healing practice which teaches you to get
in touch with your body and your breath. Iyengar yoga is a
form that advocates precise alignment, with the use of props
if necessary. Combining stretches and 'asanas', yoga is an
ideal way to learn to balance flexibility and strength; and
with practice, to quiet your mind.
