The Pond House is sometimes called the "Japanese House"
because of its oriental ambiance. The spacious living
room opens out onto a private lotus pond filled with
golden carp; sliding doors conjure up images of
gracious Japanese homes. Feel tension slip away as
you listen to the gentle murmur of the pond's small
waterfall and the myriad sounds of nature around you.
|
| The
elegant living room has Japanese-style windows.
The sliding doors let your arrange the house to
suit your whims -- you can leave the doors open
or close the screens. |

|
This one-bedroom, one-bathroom dwelling
is ideal for a couple. If necessary, futon mattresses
can be set up in the living room to accommodate two
extra people.
|
| Tucked in
between two huge boulders, the open-air shower overlooks a coconut grove.
| From every
angle, the Pond House is an aesthetic delight.
|
The bedroom looks out onto a vast coconut grove; the kitchen
and living room overlook the garden. Those who enjoy
cooking will appreciate the fully-equipped kitchen--
the most spacious one at Tamarind Retreat.
|
| The spacious
kitchen at the Pond House is built around the
rocks. | |
|
Note: Because there are no railings
around the pond, the Pond House may not be suitable
for toddlers or very young children. |
